When we moved to Maui (and our friends started asking for travel advice), we realized that there wasn’t a great resource we could point them to. So, we created it!
We share everything we learn about vacationing in Hawaii from first-hand experience. We lived on Oahu and Maui for five years and now from the mainland, we travel back frequently as we continue to explore and learn about the Hawaiian Islands.
When we’re not editing videos or writing articles, we head to Hawai’i to try new restaurants, go on tours, and separate the great experiences from the so-so experiences.
Because if you’re coming to Hawaii, you definitely don’t want a mediocre experience.

Hawai’i Vacation Guide

The Hawai’i Vacation Guide was founded in the ahupua‘a (land division) of Polanui, in the moku (district) of Lahaina, on the mokupuni (island) of Maui, in the paeʻāina (archipelago) of Hawaiʻi. It is with mindfulness and gratitude that The Hawai’i Vacation Guide acknowledges this `āina (sacred land) as an indigenous space whose kānaka`āina (original people), are today identified as kānaka maoli (Native Hawaiians). We further recognize that her majesty Queen Liliʻuokalani yielded the Hawaiian Kingdom and these territories, under duress and protest, to the United States to avoid the bloodshed of her people; peaceful and inspiring acts of kānaka maoli protest, assertions of sovereignty, and practices of cultural healing and rising continue today.
